Eat more greens

Even people on the Paleo diet don’t always eat their veggies as they should.  I have met many Paleo dieters that error on the side of to much protein to veggie ratio.  The US government suggests 2-3 cups for adult women & men daily.  (Source: USDA)  The government even stipulates that if you are more active than 30 minutes a day that you may need even more veggies than 2-3 cups daily.  As most of us know, the government is often just the “status quo” regarding standards.  If you are truly desiring to be extremely healthy, we at Invictus recommend 6-8 cups.  This is where blended smoothies or juices and recipe books that focus on veggie intake are helpful.

  1. That was totally me…….too much protein and too many of the “good fats” Much better results when I learned that “veggies were my friend”. Thanks for the reminder Melissa
