Julie Bauer (PaleOMG) stops into Invictus

Being Crossfit Invictus coach has its benefits! We’re often privileged to have many “celebrities of the CrossFit” community drop it for their workout. Today I got to meet one of my favorites celebs – Julie Bauer of PaleOMG.  Julie is in town today for a book signing at Costco Mission Valley later today.

I thought her timing was amazing simply because I was about to blog regarding making a couple of recipes I made this week out of her new cookbook (The Paleo Kitchen). Thanks Julie!

TWICE BAKED STUFFED BUTTERNUT SQUASH
Stuffed Butternut Squash
The longest part of this prep time was waiting for the squash to bake properly. After that, it’s 1lb of pork, 1 apple, 1 onion, and a few spices… And wholla! Mmm mmm good!

BACON PECAN CABBAGE
Pecan Bacon CabbageIf you like cabbage, this is a good one! Again very simple! The longest part is cutting up the cabbage. The pecans toasted add a nice aroma and flavor!
